In the recent days, Kirinyaga county boss Hon Anne Waiguru was seen to have changed tune in favor of Deputy President Hon William Ruto when she said that her decision on the party that she will use come 2022 will be determined by what the electorates will tell her. To Ruto, Waigurus move to decamp to UDA was a very big boost for his presidential race given the magnitude of the votes from the Mt Kenya region.

After a short bromance between the DP and the Kirinyaga boss, things seems to be taking a different direction after the latter revealed that DP Ruto might be living the last months of his prominence. The outspoken county boss further revealed that the region is looking forward to receive a signal from Uhuru Kenyatta.

Her recent sentiments have sparked a heated debate online with a section of those allied to the DP saying that Waiguru is the best example of betrayal that anyone would ever think of. This is despite the fact that Waiguru's earlier hint of joining UDA.
