Reactions as ODM Names Their Candidate That Will Vie For Murang'a Senatorial Seat

With the August general election fast approaching, candidates from Murang’a County senate seat have started laying ground for what is shaping up as a battle of titans.

Several aspirants have joined the race to take over from Irungu Kangata who will be going for the governor's seat. 

Now, Orange Democratic movement (ODM) has settled for its candidate to vie for the Murang'a senatorial seat in the August general election. 

The party which is led by former Prime Minister Raila Odinga has settled on youthful politician Pius Kinuthia who has been very loyal to ODM and its boss.

Now Kinuthia will face other candidates from United Democratic Alliance (UDA) and Jubilee which are perceived political heavyweights in the mt kenya region.

"I have just RECEIVED a call from ODM National Election Board to break the news that I was successful to be nominated to fly the ODM flag for the Murang’a Senatorial Seat.

Three parties will meet at the ballot; ODM, Jubilee & UDA" Kinuthia's post on twitter reads.
