President William Ruto took the stage to speak out against Raila's suggestion that an anonymous whistleblower could control the Kenyan election results.
"Raila, you need to remember that there are other Kenyans out here, We are your fellow citizens too. This idea that some anonymous entity can just swoop in and dictate the election results is ridiculous. Give us the respect that we deserve." he said
The crowd nodded in agreement and the President went on to outline the importance of a free and fair election and the need for transparency.
"Kenyans must have confidence in our electoral process. This can only be achieved if everyone participates in an open, transparent and fair process. We must have faith in the decisions of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission."
He concluded his remarks with an emphatic call to action.
"This is the time to stand up and reject any form of manipulation of our democracy. It is time to stand together as Kenyans, united and proud. Let's stand with respect and trust in the IEBC!"
