The former prime minister Raila Odinga is currently touring Taita Taveta County where he is popularizing the BBI. The area Governor Granton Samboja is hosting him. Raila dismissed the leaders that have been opposing the document by saying that they have been just selfish.
He cautioned the residents from getting confused by their lies about the document. He said that they had changed their earlier position on ensuring school going children had laptops and creation of one million jobs every year was realized.
Instead the ODM leader noted that youths were being promised wheelbarrows and handicarts which was not good at all. He noted that such a move was retrogressive and aimed at oppressing the people. He asked the residents to stay away from such leaders.
Raila further added that it was an ashamed that a kid that was promised a laptop is now in the verge of finishing his or her primary education. He thus rallied the locals to support BBI because through it, such things of promising what a leader can't deliver won't be there at all.
