At a press conference held in conjunction with senior Azimio la Umoja One Kenya coalition party leaders at the Jaramogi Oginga Odinga foundation, Martha Karua read a statement on behalf of the Coalition.
The declaration referred to the opposition coalition's planned gathering at Jacaranda Grounds in Nairobi County on Monday of the following week, which is Jamhuri Day in the nation. She took advantage of the chance to criticize President William Ruto and DP Rigathi Gachagua.
The leader of the NARC Kenya party, however, was unimpressed by a journalist who asked her to address claims that Azimio is pressuring President William Ruto to shake hands in order to force a handshake.
The question incensed Martha Karua, who retaliated by yelling at the reporter and telling him off for expecting either herself or Raila Odinga to answer to such a question. She instructed the reporter to return and find the Kenya Kwanza leaders so they could respond to him about the situation.
"You certainly don't expect our leader to respond to everyone who makes an unfounded claim. Return to that source so that they can provide evidence that what he is saying is accurate "She yelled at the reporter.
