The alternate Jamhuri Day celebration at Jacaranda Grounds that was scheduled by the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition has been canceled.
On Thursday, Opiyo Wandayi, the minority leader in the National Assembly, declared that the event had been postponed because Azimio's top brass had other commitments.
Wandayi noted that when the announcement of concurrent festivities was made, the engagements by their leaders were still pending confirmation.
The reason Raila Odinga called off the meeting, nevertheless, is now being revealed in more detail.
According to our source, Azimio-One Kenya coalition leader Raila Odinga received a summons from Africa Union to attend the unaugural United States Africa summit as an AU high envoy for infrastructure development in Africa.
As a result, Raila was had to postpone the simultaneous Jamhuri Day celebrations he had planned for Jacaranda. Please leave a comment below and follow me for updates on my opinions on this.
