He on Tuesday revealed some of the things they have been talking about, suggesting that the President has been telling him what to tackle if he wins next year.
The former Premier stated that Uhuru has told him why he failed to keep some of the promises he gave to Kenyans, which he (Raila) now intends to tackle.
He spoke while mocking Deputy President William Ruto and his wheelbarrow politics, saying that what he is doing is actually upsetting the Head of State.
He further bashed the DP for trying to be clever and fooling Kenyans, hence his decision to come up with new promises after failing to keep the old ones.
"I have been in deep talks with my brother Uhuru Kenyatta and he knows where the problem began hitting you. How come other people are now going round saying Kazi ni Kazi yet children they promised laptops are now joining secondary school without the gadgets," he said in Molo.
Raila spoke as he urged residents of Nakuru to back his 2022 presidential candidature, telling them that he is the one who knows what they need.
The veteran politician once again made it clear that he is not after followers but partners, remarks he has been regularly making in his cross-country trips.
"I am not here to look for followers, what am after are followers," said the leader, who reportedly enjoys the support of the President, who has reneged on his earlier promise to support his deputy William Ruto.
Uhuru is reportedly trying to organise leaders from the opposition wing, under the OKA camp, to drop their own bids and rally behind Raila.
