Kiambu county boss has joined the list of governors who might face impeachment by members of county assembly. Early today, Monday the MCAs led a protest outside Wamatangi's office, who was elected under Under United Democratic Alliance. In a video shared by Inooro tv ,the ward representatives could be heard chanting anti-Kimani songs. The county has 60 electoral wards and two thirds MCAs would be required for the motion to pass.

The MCAs , drawn from different political parties blamed the governor of failure to heed to their pleas. They noted that he was running the county without involving them.Contacts between them and the governor, who recently promised to eradicate cartels, has been failing. Secondly the MCAs accused the governor of undervaluing them. That is he was not treating them as elected leaders like him. The accusations comes after a section of them rejected ministerial appointees despite some of them being from same political affiliations.
