The funeral of Catherine Kasavuli in Vihiga was attended by a number of prominent officials, including the Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi, the Speaker of the National Assembly Moses Wetangula, and the former running partner of Azimio La Umoja, Martha Karua.
The burial service was held at Nyang'ori High School, where the leaders gathered together.

In a tweet, Mudavadi wrote, "Together with National Assembly Speaker @HonWetangula, Hon @MarthaKarua and other leaders, we mourned with the family, friends, and relatives of Veteran Journalist, a national asset and heroine, the Late Catherine Kasavuli at their Tigoi home in Vihiga Constituency, Vihiga County." Kasavuli was a journalist who worked for many years.

Martha Karua, as well as other leaders, we shared our condolences with the family, friends, and relatives of the late Catherine Kasavuli, a veteran journalist who was a national asset and a heroine, at their home in Tigoi, which is located in the Vihiga Constituency in Vihiga County picture.
Mudavadi and Wetangula, on the other hand, exited the burial service after making their remarks and traveled to Asembo, which is located in Siaya county, in order to participate in a gratitude celebration that was held for ICT CS Eliud Owalo.
