Raila Reunites With Prison Warder He Used To Give Letters To Take To Ida While At Shimo La Tewa

Orange Democratic Movement Party leader Raila Odinga today met his long time friend Mr John Mwavuda at Mbololo town in Taita Taveta County. Raila introduced to the crowd Mr Mwavuda who worked as a prison warden in Shimo La Tewa Prison where Raila was detained.
Raila stated that Mr Mwavuda used to sneak papers to him while in custody at Shimo La Tewa which he used to write letters to his (Raila) wife. Mr Mwavuda used to take the letters to Nairobi to Raila's wife.
Raila revealed that Mr Mwavuda used tell him what was happening outside of Prison. Raila said that a prisoner was not allowed to know what was happening outside the Prison but Mwavuda used to tell him.
Raila described how Mr Mwavuda has a good heart and he promised to help him forever.
Raila is in Taita Taveta county to drum up support for the building bridges initiative document. He is hosted by Taita Taveta county Governor Granton Samboja.
