Governor Simba Arati Plans to Spend Ksh10 Million in Weeding Out Ghost Workers in Kisii County

Kenya is a devolved country where by the national powers have been transferred to the county governments and each county is under the leadership of a governor.

It has been revealed that Kisii governor Simba Arati who got elected on ODM ticket is plotting to spend Ksh10 million in his move to weed out the ghost workers who are enjoying the taxpayers money.

According to the reliable source, if the assembly will approve the supplementary budget, then Hon Arati will spend part of the money in paying the Kenya national examination council (Knec) body that will have to verify the academic papers of all county staff to ensure those with fake academic credentials are nabbed.

The cases of ghost workers in our counties are alarming and the governors should take proper action and those found culpable should face the wrath of the law.
