Mt Kenya Leaders Propose The Man To Deputize Raila Odinga And Why He Must Come From Murang'a County

Retired prime minister Raila Odinga has in the recent time intensified his campaigns in the Mt Kenya region in a bid to strengthen his position for the 2022 presidential race. In his tour to Murang'a, the ODM chief met and discussed with leaders from Murang'a County who proposed to him former Gatanga member of Parliament Hon Peter Kenneth to be his running mate in the next year's general elections.

According to the Gatanga member of Parliament Joseph Nduati, the people of Murang'a county have been unlucky as three leaders who have ruled Kenya in the top office have come from Kiambu. The first president Mzee Jomo Kenyatta, retired president Mwai Kibaki and president Uhuru Kenyatta are both from Kiambu. Hon Joseph Nduati now claims it is time for Raila to pick his deputy from Murang'a who is Peter Kenneth.

"We the people of Murang'a have our own brand, and it is hon Peter Kenneth," the Gatanga MP said in a rally.
