From Today Never Call me a Kieleweke - Kiambu MP

William Ruto and Uhuru Kenyatta.

Mt Kenya region has continued to suffer sharp divisions with the existence of two political rival factions. There is a group of legislators who identify themselves as Tangatanga, particularly those who support the deputy president, William Ruto, and his 2022 presidential quest. Another faction identifies itself as Kieleweke which supports president Uhuru Kenyatta and his handshake partner, Raila Odinga.

Leaders associated to these factions have not been shying to be linked with them. Infact, they have been convincing the electorate to support their side. However, things seem to start taking a different route after 2022 political alliances begin to be unpredictable. The Mt Kenya leaders are still confused on which equation will well fit them.

Jude Njomo.

Today, Kiambu town legislator- Jude Njomo, was annoyed after a journalist associated him with the Kieleweke faction. Speaking during an interview at Kameme TV, the journalist said that although he supports BBI and the handshake, he doesn't subscribe to all the ideas of Kieleweke.

"I don't why people link me with Kieleweke. I don't like that name. I'm just a member of parliament who supports the president and the BBI. From today kindly refer to me as Kiambu town MP or just call my name. I prefer being neutral because politics is dynamic," alluded Njomo.

The lawmaker is one of the most cool politicians who hardly take sides. The second term MP is however known to be a supporter of BBI and president Uhuru Kenyatta. His disassociation with Kieleweke name therefore raises some questions. Video.

Could he be planning to decamp from Kieleweke? Share your thoughts.
