Hon Charity Kathambi Chepkwony, Member of Parliament Njoro Constituency was first elected to office in the 2017 general elections on a Jubilee Party ticket. She is now a step closer to retaining the same seat as she has emerged the winner in the United Democratic Alliance Party nominations.
Yesterday, Ex-Kameme FM presenter Njogu wa Njoroge who was her biggest opponent conceded defeat earlier than expected. He took to his social media pages to congratulate Kathambi and thank his supporters. He is yet to declare what he'll be doing next.
In Nakuru County, Kathambi is one of the ardent supporters of Deputy President William Ruto and Senator Susan Kihika who will fly the UDA's flag high in the general elections scheduled for the month of August.

The parliamentary race is expected to be a tight one as former Njoro MP Joseph Kiuna who is in the Uhuru Kenyatta-led Jubilee Party of Kenya is also eying the seat.
