Sifuna Bags The Senate Seat; Votes Of Him And Close Competitor Announced

The ongoing political allingnments in Nairobi county has finally been brought to an end in the senatorial position. The news reaching our desk is that Edwin Sifuna has been declared the senator elect of Nairobi where he is now waiting for the swearing in ceremony.

The race was a tight one between the orange democratic party of Kenya aspirant and the United democratic alliance party of Kenya aspirant. Edwin Sifuna came first followed closely by Bishop Margret wanjiru who is a former member of parliament for Starehe constituency.

Sifuna managed to win with seven hundred and twenty six thousand votes whereas Bishop Margret wanjiru got five hundred and twenty four thousand votes. This was a tight race where a win could have been announced to either partners since both of them are seasoned politicians.

We congratulate Sifuna for his win and wish him all the best as he serves the people of Nairobi.
