Boost For Ruto as Constitutional Lawyer Makes Powerful Remarks on CJ's Presence in Polls Preparation

Constitutional Lawyer Bobby Mkangi had defended Deputy President William Ruto's political divide after calling upon the Chief Justice Martha Koome to stay away from the team that is preparing for next year's general elections.

According to Mkangi, Ruto and his brigade under the UDA party has every right to question Koome's presence in the committee, since the past two elections ended up at the Supreme Court where she is now the president.

Speaking with NTV on Saturday, Mkangi added that the Supreme Court and the committee should be wary of the move and remember that their actions and conduct are within the limelight, hence they should be very careful of how they conduct themselves.

"The CJ is the president of the Supreme Court which is mostly the election court when it comes to presidential elections petitions. With the elections being competition, it does raise perception where people can perceive impartially, thus UDA being a competitor in August 2022, they have every right to question any issue concerning the organization and preparedness of the elections," said Mkangi.

Koome while addressing attendants during Makueni Devolution Conference two days ago stated that she was doing her mandate and will not back of from the commitee.
