As the president of the republic of Kenya, president Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta is assigned many as well as important duties in the country both locally and internationally. He is required by the law to ensure that all government agencies and organisations are running smoothly by appointing its officials and channeling funds to it. This is to ensure that the people of Kenya enjoys their lives by getting whatever they want from these government agencies.
Now, some few hours ago, president Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta is reported to have made a major announcement through the Kenya Gazette. As reported by the Kenyans.co.ke president Uhuru Kenyatta through his senior government officials announced through this Gazette that the office of the chairperson of the Public service commission is now vacant.
According to this publication, interested individuals are welcomed to apply for this position but there are some requirements that they must have. One of them is that he/she should not have vied for a parliamentary seat or any other seat Within the last 5 years among other requirements.
"According to the Notice issued on Friday, October 15, a person is not eligible for an appointment as a chairperson of the public service commission if they are undischarged bankrupt.In the Notice, applicants were informed that they will not be considered for the position if they have at any time within the preceding five years, held office, or stood for election as a member of Parliament, County Assembly or a member of the governing body of a political party."
