Kenya is a devolved state that has forty seven counties and each county is under the leadership a governor and deputy governor.
Meru governor Kawira Mwangaza is facing removal from office after days of push and pull among her family and the county MCAs.
The county boss is accused of misuse of power and abuse of office among them nepotism. She's also accused of hiring her husband as county officials and her relatives among them her own blood sister.
Total of 68 out of 69 MCAs approved the motion seeking her removal from office. This morning, a section of Meru residents have approved the impeachment motion of removing governor Kawira Mwangaza from office.
These are bad news to the governor who got elected recently as an independent candidate after defeating Kiraitu Murungi of Azimio and Mithika Linturi of Kenya Kwanza.
