Jeremiah Kioni has today revealed why they had to abort the planned rallies as the Azimio coalition. He says that the reason why they don't have the rallies immediately is because the government of the day had asked for 100 days to deliver. Kioni says that because of this, they decided to stall their planned rallies to give them time to deliver as they had promised.
Azimio la Umoja coalition had announced of a series of rallies that they were to hold so as to send a message to the government from Kenyans. They were demanding the reduction of the cost of living as had been promised by Kenya Kwanza during their campaigns.
There was also a planned parallel Jamhuri day celebration by Azimio la Umoja, however this was boycotted in the last minute with the excuse of early engagements that had been put in place and were pending confirmation. Kioni spoke on K24.
