ODM Party leader Raila Odinga had a difficult time while addressing residents in Meru County after the crowd heckled at him, chanting Deputy President William Ruto.

From the video shared via Nation, the crowd responded to Raila's rhetorical questions with "Ruto" which eventually filled the air. The leader was however unbowed and continued delivering his speech stipulating his agenda once he assumes power.

Raila was in the company of other leaders led by Meru County governor Kiraitu Murungi, Fatma Gedi, Junet Mohammed, Kanini Kega, Ali Hassan Joho among others.
The leader will be touring the county of Embu today where he is expected to lay flowers on the grave of the slain Kianjokoma brothers before addressing the locals.
Odinga has been touring the Mt Kenya Region frequently in an attempt to win their support. According to latest opinion polls conducted by Mizani, Ruto still dominates the region with a following of about 65%. However, Raila's popularity is slowly growing, currently standing at 27%.
