Ruto then went for a rally in Embu county. They held their rally in Manyatta constituency making several stop overs. Ruto was in the company of his running mate Rigathi Gachagua, Justin Muturi, Alfred Mutua, Cecily Mbarire, Kithure Kindiki, Ndindi Nyoro among other politicians.
However, elders who met with Ruto made a turn hours later revealing that they are supporting Azimio One Kenya Coalition party. Ruto allegedly met them to consolidate his support in the county which is experiencing sibling wars.
Chama Cha Kazi leader Moses Kuria, Tujibebe leader William Kabogo and Kimani Wamatangi (UDA) are fighting for Kiambu governor seat.
Elders upheld that all men in the county and Mount Kenya region were firmly behind President Uhuru Kenyatta’s political direction.
