Happy Moi Day Kenyans! LSK President Doesn't Recognize 'New' Uhuru's Huduma Day

A few years back, today being the 10th October, Kenyans had been used to marking Moi Day Celebrations on this particular day. President Uhuru Kenyatta's government seemed to have changed the situation as this year's October 10th celebrations were meant to be Huduma Day's. The 49th president of the Law Society of Kenya Nelson Havi might not be willing to accept this fact as according to him, today Kenyans deserves to celebrate Moi Day.

Using his social media accounts, the LSK President joined the people of Kibera and leaders of United Green movement to celebrate what he termed as Moi Day but no Huduma Day. During the event, the lawyer oversaw the planting of 1000 trees as part of the movement's initiative.

Nelson Havi: "I joined the People of Kibra and leaders of United Green Movement to celebrate Moi Day (not Huduma Day) at Three Bells Academy. The Mighty Olympic Primary Dynamic Twins: Sean Mwavaga and Thorne Amogola set the stage. They said “be daring, be angry, be an agent of change. We planted 1000 fruit tree seedlings at Three Bells Academy on this Moi Day as part of our initiative towards meeting the ten percent tree cover requirement under Article 69 (1) (b) of The Constitution of Kenya. A clean environment is a requirement under Article 42."

The LSK President added that it's their target to plant one billion trees by June 2021. He argued that a clean environment is a visible verifiable deliverable. Havi condemned those cutting down trees anyhow as he put out clear that we plant trees for our grandchildren to be able to have an ample environment. He lastly wished every Kenyan a Happy Moi Day.

LSK President Nelson Havi: "Our target is to plant one billion trees by June, 2021 in the trees revolution geared towards demonstrating ability to provide change in leadership and governance. We don’t promise laptops, stadia or free education. A clean environment is a visible verifiable deliverable. These swindles are cutting down trees all over Kenya and in particular Nairobi County to construct roads to nowhere. We will plant trees for our grandchildren to get a clean environment, fruits, nectar for honey and wood for a sustainable economy. Happy Moi Day Kenyans."
