Raila's Close Ally Leaves Kenya Kwanza Disappointed After He Told Them This

Lang'ata constituency member of parliament Phelix Odiwuor has come out to maintain his stand that he will never betray the Orange Democratic Movement party which has housed him for a long time. Odiwuor who is popularly known as Jalang'o joined politics this general elections after working as a comedian and radio presenter for a long time.

In a statement on Friday the lawmaker said that he will never leave ODM or Azimio la Umoja and join the president's party like other MPs did. He said that he is loyal to the party but the president will always remain his personal friend.

"I cannot cross over. For now, I’m happy in my party ODM and contented in Azimio but that does not change the fact that the president is a personal friend," Jalang'o said as revealed by the People Daily.

His statement comes a few days after several elected leaders defected to Kenya Kwanza days after being elected under Azimio. This created a lot of tension as many people thought all the MPs will defect to Ruto's camp. Jalang'o has however confirmed that there are some who will always remain loyal to the party.
