Orange Democratic Movement James Orengo and a close ally to Raila Odinga has informed that they may soon turn to oppose government plans issuing contentious remarks.
Siaya Senator James Orengo has warned those leaders planning matters President Uhuru Kenyatta's succession informing that crafters should avoid imposing leaders on Kenyans.
According to Orengo, he has said they won't sit down and watch Kenyans being misled and that they won't wait to see a few leaders sit somewhere to decide the future of this country.
“We are keen and determined to sabotage any plots by the government through its crafters to impose leaders on Kenyans. We do not want Kenyans to be misled that a few people can sit somewhere and decide the future of the country,” Orengo said.
The remarks from the ODM leaders are a protest to recently witnessed controversies within the Government with some leaders being poised to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta through formations of different alliances.
In March, Senator James Orengo had also pointed out at a section of leaders within powerful circles in government trying to meddle in the country's political leadership warning of repercussions.
"I want to warn some top civil servants paid by taxpayers’ money to stop meddling in the country’s political leadership,” Orengo said.
