Raila Condemns Yesterday's Impunity By Jubilee Government In Juja And Bonchari By-elections

Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Party leader Raila Odinga, has condemned the political impunity which was shown by the Jubilee government yesterday's during the Bonchari and Juja Constituencies by-elections.

In his latest message which he has shared through his social media account handles, Odinga accused the Jubilee government for what was witnessed yesterday where the government deployed heavy police officers into the polling stations, which are alledged to have interrupt with the voting process by scaring voters.

He added that an election process is an opportunity for voters to express their will on the ballot, and it is not an avenue for politicians to pursue their imiginary short-legged political interests. He added that the security officers should be used to serve Kenyans and not to be used in political experiments.

"What we have witnessed in the by-elections in Bonchari and Juja is an abuse of police powers and arrogant display of IMPUNITY by a few overzealous and bellicose government functionaries."

"An election is an opportunity for voters to express their will at the ballot and not an avenue to pursue imiginary and short-legged political interests. Security officers exist to serve the people and not the interests of those out to conduct political experiments." He said.
