President William Ruto on Sunday evening spoke after the death of eight General service unit officers who were ambushed and killed by armed pokot bandits in Turkana East County.
He sent messages of condolences to the families of each of the fallen GSU officers who died in the line of duty.
The President who got a report on Turkana and Pokot latest attack, ordered the security agencies to deal thoroughly with the culprits who took away 11 lives.
The head of state who termed the incident as shocking, pledge to make sure that cattle rustling is stopped by all means.
"After getting a statement on the Turkana and Pokot attack that claimed 10 security administration officers lives, I have ordered the security agencies to deal thoroughly with the culprits. Cattle rustling will stop by all means," President Ruto said.
The Suspected bandits murdered eight police officers, a chief and two civilians in Turkana East on Saturday evening, September 24.
The National Police Service in a statement confirmed that the assailants were being traced after escaping with livestock from a village in Turkana East.
