Azimio Spokesperson Mutua Criticizes DP Ruto For Wooing Azimio Leaders To His Camp

The leaders who purportedly defected to the Kenya Kwanza Alliance from their coalition should be informed that they are contractually bound to Azimio according to Makau Mutua a spokesperson for the coalition Campaign Secretariat. Mr. Ruto should know that it is against the law for him or anybody else to urge members to act like they are leaving Azimio. According to Mutua no Azimio member has formally asked to leave the coalition. By wooing some of the leaders elected as Independents and on the Azimio Coalition to move to his side Mutua charged that Ruto was actively seeking to undermine the independence of the assembly. Additionally, he alleged that Ruto was unscrupulous in politics and lacked legal understanding Ruto drinks booze but advises drinking alcohol.

He should be aware that robust pluralism in which various political parties contest on topics is necessary for democracy. It won't work to corrupt Azimio members in an effort to cannibalize it he claimed. Azimio La Umoja said that Ruto was actively trying to undermine the independence of the legislature in order to undermine democracy and return the country to the KANU era of dictatorship. "He needs to cease participating in the crooked political culture. We are aware that he intends to spread misinformation to suggest that he will undoubtedly prevail," Mutua said.
