Musalia Mudavadi has been stating each day that he must run for presidency. If he stands with his ambition then it will be the second stab at the highest office on the land. William Ruto has been contacting Musalia Mudavadi urging him to join his camp. At the other end Raila Odinga is also trying to lure him to his side.
It is clear that Ruto is losing grip of the Mount Kenya vote. In his earlier campings he focused on his political backyard and Central Kenya. This has however, changed as he is looking for votes from the Ukambani and Western regions. These two have almost six million votes combined.
Ruto currently does not the support of a political bigwig in his camp. These are the likes of Kalonzo Musyoka, Musalia Mudavadi, Moses Wetangula and Gideon Moi. Ruto needs to at least have one to secure his presidential ambitions. This is none other than Musalia Mudavadi. The reason being that Kalonzo and Gideon Moi have been inclining towards Raila Odinga.
