Just a day after tough-talking ministry of interior cabinet secretary Kithure Kindiki directed that hundreds of inhabitants of specified areas scattered across five counties in North Rift vacate immediately, the C's has revised the list of targeted areas following an outcry from local leaders.
Pokot South MP David Pkosing had come out guns blazing accusing professor Kindiki of handling the matter in a clandestine manner causing him to erroneously include ever peaceful areas hosting hundreds of Pokot and Turkana community members as 'bandits havens'.
Following the outcry, the reviewed list has exempted several areas against the vacation orders that seeks give room for a vicious security operation after police received intelligence that criminals are using innocent and law abiding citizens as human shields.

The areas saved from the orders which have already taken effect include Kapelbok, Nakwamoru, Lobokat, Lokoron, Turkwel escarpment and Ombollion areas with Turkana and West Pokot counties.
The government has assured locals in the reviewed area to carry on with their day to day activities while respecting security intervention measures rolled out earlier on.
Other areas which had earlier on left out, have since been included in the list of dangerous places where innocent citizens should vacate immediately.
They include Ng'elecha hills,Lamacha and Looking gorges,Karau hills, Rufus caves and the Amaya gorges at the interface of Baringo, Laikipia and Samburu Counties.
Pkosing has since louded Kindiki for revising the list of would be affected areas.
"Thank you, CS, for your listening and quick response to exclude Ombolion and Turkwel Escarpment from evacuation order erroneously published yesterday, and that people should live normal lives." Pkosing said.
