However days after being in the office, his running mate repeatedly complained of inheriting a dilapidated economy. The former Mathira member of parliament complained that Uhuru's regime left empty coffers which would take a long time to address the debt crises.
According to the Star Newspaper, the head of state is faced with the challenges of reducing the high cost of living three months after taking the oath of office. Kenyans who were brimming with hope during the campaign period have little to smile about due to the high cost of living. Dr. Ruto had promised to bring down the food prices within his first days in office.
