Raila's Political Move That Has 'Impressed' DP Rigathi Most

Prior to 2022 poll, there were two distinct political groups namely Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Coalition party that was under the leadership of Raila Odinga and Kenya Kwanza troupe which comprised among others William Ruto (head), Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetangula.

The aforenamed antagonistic camps were looking forward to form the government that will steer the country between 2022 and 2027 but since there is always a single victor in every combat, Ruto-led team managed to outscore Raila-led team and this literally meant that Samoei's team took the baton from Kenyatta II.

As the self-professed chief hustler keeps structuring his government, Raila and team have since come to terms that indeed the coveted presidential crown eluded them and this realization has impressed the second in command most is his Sunday sentiments are anything to go by.

Speaking in Murang'a county on Sunday afternoon during a church service, Rigathi Gachagua lauded the veteran for accepting his political position and warming up to over oversight roles to the government.

In his discourse, Riggy G asserted that his team needs a vibrant and strong opposition to enable them live their pre-pre poll pledges. The former Mathira MP further accused Jakom of absconding his duties during Uhuru's second term citing that the former's handshake with the former Head of State saw many things going wrong for the former government had none to offer oversight roles.

In a recent media address at Serena Hotel, Azimio La Umoja leader called Ruto's government to save Kenyans from further economic exploitations through increased taxes citing that mwananchi is already tired with the recent cost of living, he instead advised the head of state to look for alternatives. Ruto's government had proposed among other things the increment of monthly NSSF contributions by members and widening of tax sources.
