Politics is getting more and more attention as the general election on August 9 draws near. Different political slogans are hosting a number of rallies across the nation and make sure they get enough support to win seats in the legislature come August. On the other hand, various businesses are busy conducting surveys to ascertain which candidate might win the election.
The IRS team conducted some polls today to determine which of Raila Odinga of the ODM party and his primary rivalDr. William Samoe Ruto of the UDA was the most popular presidential candidate. In these polls Dr. William Ruto defeated Azimio boss Hon Raila Odinga and won for the first time.
According to the Tuko News former prime minister came in second with 42% of the vote with the country second in command holding a lead with 49%. This gab is exceedingly broad and is estimated to be over 7 percent. In the upcoming general elections Dr. William Ruto could receive 50+1 percent of the vote if he pulls up his socks.
"According to a recent poll conducted by Intel Research Solutions William Ruto will probably defeat Raila Odinga in the first round. Given that there is still a month of heavy campaigning to go in order to secure the required 50+1 votesthe survey also indicates that a runoff is not likely in this situation." the reports claimed.
