In a video shared by one of William Ruto's close allies and blogger GK Malema, Obado, who has since parted ways with the region's kingpin Raila Odinga could be seen interacting with UDA officials before Ruto landed in the region.
Besides the venue, are UDA and Ruto posters mounted on the walls, one clear indication that the governor could be planning to officially join Ruto's Hustler Movement ahead of 2022.
Ruto is expected to first attend a church service at Awendo Central SDA Church where he will conduct a fundraiser thereafter, before proceeding to Awendo tow, where he is expected to address roadside meetings.
Among those who will accompany DP Ruto to Awendo Migori includes Kuria West MP Mathias Robi where he will be welcomed by Governor Obado and Eliud Owallo.
ODM leaders have already welcomed Ruto to the county saying he is free to campaign everywhere in Kenya but said they will not be attending his rallies.
Ruto's comes just days after ODM Presidential aspirant Jimi Wanjigi was stoned in the region. However, a number of ODM Party leaders laid the blame on Obado, claiming it was his men who caused the disruptions.
Here is the VIDEO LINK of Obado waiting for Ruto's arrival to Migori.
