Musalia Mudavadi, now the Prime Cabinet secretary, the party is among the affiliated parties in Kenya Kwanza Alliance (KKA). Hon. Musalia Mudavadi is the current Prime Cabinet in Ruto's administration.

Hon Musalia Mudavadi resigns as the Amani National Congress (ANC) Party Leader. This comes after President, Dr. William Ruto appointed him to serve the country at the Executive arm of government as the Prime Cabinet secretary. By resigning as the party leader of ANC party, and appointing Hon. Issa Timamy the Lamu governor. What could happen in Western region where Hon. Mudavadi hails from, with the rise of parties in the region for example the FORD Kenya which associated with Hon. Moses Wetangula who is the speaker of National Assembly, the DAP Kenya associated with the former defence cabinet Hon. Eugene Wamalwa is likely to oust the ANC party in the region.

Speaker Moses Wetangula the party leader of FORD Kenya.

The best option the party could have done is by appointing Hon. Malala who contested for Kakamega gubernatorial seat with the party but lost it to the Orange party candidate Mr. Barasa in the previous election. By appointing Mr. Malala the party could have outshines other parties in western region.
