President Uhuru Kenyatta Facing Imprisonment After This Latest Development

President Uhuru Kenyatta's decision to refuse to appoint/ promote six Judges into office continues to draw fierce debate as various stakeholders pile pressure on him to appoint the Judicial officers into office.

Numerous cases have been filed in Court by various groups including the Katiba Institute which are seeking to have the president bypassed for the judges to be sworn into office, the same way Justice Mohamed Ibrahim was forcefully sworn into office after president Uhuru Kenyatta refused to appoint him as a member of JSC.

And now, president Uhuru Kenyatta stares at a date with the Prison authorities if an application made by lawyer Adrian Kamotho before Judges Lydia Achode, Chacha Mwita and Makau James seeking for Uhuru's Imprisonment for ignoring and flouting court orders issued on February, 2020.

"The honourable court be pleased to impose lawful sanctions including but not limited to an order of committal to jail of the person currently holding the office of the president for blatant breach or judgement and violation of the Constitution," the lawyer pleaded.

The court judgment issued last year required the head of state to file a reply to a Court case filed against him, something he did not do.
