The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) member of parliament for Embakasi East, Babu Owino on Sunday visited Uriri constituency alongside other leaders just a day after the deputy president William Ruto was heroically received in the area.
In his statement which he termed 'deconstructing and dealing with Ruto' the vocal lawmaker told off Migori governor Okoth Obado for welcoming the deputy president in the area. Owino told Obado to always respect Raila Odinga for he is the one who has made him who he is day.
"When Obado wanted to be governor, he made him governor, when Babu Owino wanted to be member of parliament, he made him. Now that Baba want to be the president, Obado must learn," Babu said.
He further told the residents of Uriri not to subscribe to the bottom up economic model being promoted by the deputy president and embrace the trickle down model of the former prime minister Raila Amolo Odinga.
However, his statement was not well received by the majority of his followers with others arguing that his comment is just a sign that the deputy president William Ruto is giving them sleepless nights even in their area ahead of 2022 polls.
Others also reminded him to watch whatever he says in public because he is a young legislature who is being emulated by the majority of young people in the country.
Others also told him to ensure he concentrates on promoting the agenda of the former prime minister Raila Odinga instead of concentrating much on the deputy president without noticing that he is promoting him indirectly.
