Deputy president William Ruto received a major boost in Bungoma after politicians offered to support him in his presidential bid in the coming August 2022 general election. The crowd which was listening were surprised after Rosalinda Simiyu, the second wife to COTU secretary general Francis Atwoli declared support for his bid.
DP Ruto and Atwoli have never seen eye to eye for a number of years and this has much a bit of standoff between the duo. In Bungoma today, DP Ruto took a swipe yet again at COTU boss as he was introducing Rosalinda to speak at the people where he said, "Huyu ndiye bibi ya yule jamaa wa nyororo."
After declaring her support for DP Ruto, Francis Atwoli responded where he disowned the wife saying that Rosalinda was surrendered to Ruto in 2007 in Eldoret House. In his Twitter handle he said, "Roselinda was surrended to William Ruto in 2007 in his Eldoret town house. She is no longer on the list of my relatives. Ruto can now add her, FREE OF CHARGE, to his two recently acquired bearded wives to him have three wives from western. Western Kenya is in Azimio."
