Kenyan Politicians Who previously served As Radio Presenters Before Joining Politics

1.Gathoni Wa Muchomba.

Gathoni wa Muchomba is a Kenyan politician who is currently the member of parliament for Githunguri constituency having clinched the seat in the 2022 general elections.She previously served as the Kiambu county woman representative under Jubilee party.

Gathoni worked as a journalist before Joining politics.She started her career as a journalist at Kenya Broadcasting Corporation (KBC) later she moved to Inooro FM where she was a breakfast show host.

2.Jalang'o.

Phelix Odiwour famously Jalang'o is a Kenyan politician,radio presenter, comedy actor and events master of ceremonies.He is the current serving member of parliament for Lang'ata constituency.He won the election Under ODM party ticket defeating Nixon Korir of UDA party.

Jalang'o was a popular journalist before Joining politics.He has worked as a radio host in several radio stations such as Hot 96,Milele FM alongside Mwakideu, Radio Maisha alongside Mwakideu and Kiss 100 FM where he worked alongside Kamene Goro.He resigned from Kiss 100 FM to join politics.

3.Sabina Chege.

Sabina Chege is a Kenyan popular politician Who is serving as a nominated member of the National Assembly.She was nominated to the position by Jubilee party.She previously served as the Murang'a county woman representative for two consecutive terms from 2013 to 2022.Sabina is also the founder and the director of the Sabina Wanjiru Foundation which addresses women's issues in society and concerns affecting the youth.

Before Joining Politics Sabina Chege was a journalist.She did radio work for a while with Kamene FM and Kenya Broadcasting cooperation(KBC).Later on she was appointed as the head of financial radio services at KBC.

4.Dorice Donya Aburi.

Donya Toto is a Kenyan politician and the current Kisii county woman representative.She was elected as the woman representative in the 2022 general elections under Wiper Democratic Movement party ticket defeating Janet Ong'era of ODM.She made her first trial to politics in the 2017 general elections,where she vied for the same seat but lost to Janet Ong'era.

Before Joining politics,Donya was a radio presenter at a vernacular radio station known as Egesa FM which is owned by Royal Media Services.After losing the woman representative seat in 2017,she was appointed as the member of the South Nyanza Sugar Company Limited Board in 2018.
