"Hautakua Rais Kwa Sababu ya Sheria," Isaac Mwaura Tells William Ruto in Gatanga

On Sunday, Deputy president William Ruto together with politicians allied to him visited Gatanga in Murang'a county where they attended a Church service.

Nominated Senator Isaac Mwaura, who was among politicians who accompanied the Dp to the region told Ruto he won't be president because of the law, but he will assume office as the 5th president of Kenya because of prayers from Kenyans.

"Acha nikuambie Deputy president, hautakua rais kwa sababu ya sheria, Utakua rais kwa sababu ya Maombi ya Wakenya." Mwaura told Ruto.

Isaac said this in reference to a rumoured motion to impeach Deputy president William Ruto. If impeached Ruto will not be eligible to vie in 2022 elections according to the law.

Senator Mwaura also said the president must keep his promise of "yangu kumi, Ruto kumi" that he publicly declared several years ago.

During campaigns leading up to the 2013 general election, President Uhuru Kenyatta famously promised to rule for 10 years then his Deputy takes over for the next 10. However, Uhuru seems to have backtracked on his word amid a bitter fallout with Ruto.
