Museveni's son, Muhoozi Kainerugaba said it wouldn't take two weeks for Uganda to capture Nairobi.
Ruto supporters including senator Kiprotich Arap Cherargei has called upon President William Ruto to respond to Muhoozi's message.
Kiprotich Arap posted, "I expect by morning the ministry of foreign affairs to summon Ugandan ambassador to shed light on Gen. Muhoozi social media outbursts & subsequent apology . This is undermining the spirit of unity of EAC."
Donald Kipkorir, a famous ruto ally posted on twitter, "Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba Museveni, Uganda Army Commander & next President of Uganda says it will take his army only two weeks to take over Kenya! I am yet to hear our Army Commander denying or admitting our Army’s ability to defend our borders from the threatened invasion."
Muhoozi Kainerugaba had earlier posted, "it wouldn't take us, my army and me, 2 weeks to capture Nairobi." Muhoozi, serves as the commander of the land forces of the Uganda People Defence Forces.
