IEBC announces that registration of voters is set to start next month and they expect to register more than 6 million Kenyans. The commission says that all commissioners have agreed on strategies that were outlined before.
Wafula Chebukati in his speech outlines that they will continue to plan for 2022 general elections. That they will reiterate for timely and sufficient disparsment of funds to facilitate implementation of all their planned programmes.
"Commission would like to ensure the public and stakeholders that it will continue working as a team to deliver credible 2022 general elections," says Chebukati. He also urges the government to strengthen security and control politics.
Juliana Cherera, a member of the commission says that they are here to tell the public that they are out as a team and they are going to work together to give the country a free, fair and credible elections.
On the other hand, Justus Obonyo gives hope to expecting mothers. "As mid wives of elections which is very important event in this country, we will ensure that both mother and the baby are safe," he said.
Irene Cherop tells media to coorperate with them on this journey such that whatever they report should bring this nation together and not break it.
