On Tuesday, vocal Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria warmed the hearts of Kiambu mourners after fearlessly taking on Agriculture CS Peter Munya.

Speaking during the burial ceremony to the mother of Thika Town MP Jungle Patrick Wainaina, Kuria, who seemingly spoke the hearts of many mourners who were in attendance, humorously chided on Munya over his decision to come and read President Uhuru's condolence message to the family, at a burial attended by DP Ruto.

According to Munya, it was not in order for Munya to come with President's speech and read it while Uhuru's deputy was in attendance, He schooled Kuria, reminding him to follow the set out protocols and hand the speech to Ruto instead of reading it personnaly.

"We have to tell ourselves the truth because that is what out departed mother used to like. I want to urge CS Munya to respect our mother as well...When you come over, even if you have been send by our beloved president, when you find his deputy here, please lets follow the set protocols. You just hand over Uhuru's condolence message to his DP to read," stated Kuria in Swahili amid wild cheers from the mourners.

And speaking while reading Uhuru's message, Munya, who was booed and heckled by the mourners, said he was not the one deciding on whether to read Uhuru's message or not.

The CS said the decision squarely lies with the head of state on whom he prefers to read his message at such functions.

"The President can choose whom he wants to send the condolence message. I am only a messenger and I have no control with who he choses," retaliated Munya.
