Kericho politics has been very hot for the last few months after the former cabinet Minister Hon. Charles Keter resigned from the cabinet to contest for Kericho County gubernatorial seat.
Keter has been allegedly pressurized to name his deputy candidate after his main rival, Dr. Mutai snatched and settle with Engineer Fred Kirui. Fred Kirui stepped down from the race to back and deputize Dr. Mutai in his race to become the second governor of Kericho.
After Dr. Mutai settled on Eng. Fred Kirui who was one of the contestants for the seat of Governor, Ex-CS Charles Keter is expected to pick either Lily Ngok or Moses Sang should they accept to back him.
In the same note, the IEBC has announced that all the Presidential candidates and Governor aspirants to name their running mate candidates on or before April 28, 2022.
