The deputy president william Ruto has come up with his strategy team for 2022 and it is evident that mount kenya was not represented, and they have walked with Ruto for a long time traversing the country for his presidential bid.
This necessitated a section of Mount kenya leaders to meet and renegotiate their political terms with the the second in command in a bid to secure their political future, and to have more say in Ruto's presidential plans.
According to the members of parliament, the engagement will major on economic empowerment of Mount kenya region and their political positions in his government if he wins in 2022, because they believe he has the best chance of winning.
This comes just three years after traversing the country with the deputy president, campaigning for his presidential bid. The meeting was held at Kimani Ichungwa's residence to draft a list of demands to be presented to Ruto.
