Kipchebor Ward is one of the six wards of Ainamoi Constituency in Kericho county.It takes close to 90% of Kericho town.Other wards in Ainamoi include; Kapkugerwet, Kapsoit,Kapsaos, Ainamoi and Kipchimchim.
As we head to the coming general election set for August 9 this year, two aspirants are seen to be kneck to kneck.The two are the sitting member of county assembly professor Eric Bett and former Kericho Municipal mayor Joel Siele.
Eric Bett alias Watchman won the United Democratic Alliance Party primaries that was held on April after flooring other aspirants among them is Joel Siele who has since ditched United Democratic Alliance Party to run for the seat as an Independent candidate.
The August 9 race is now seen to be tough as Siele has the support of Mary Betty Chelagat alias Mabeche who was third in United Democratic Alliance Party primaries.
Hon. Eric Bett is defending his seat that he won in the last general election after unseating then MCA Joel Siele.
