The Deputy President was reportedly at bay from the jubilee party activities as he was regarded as a persona non grata by the party. He moved ahead to form the United Democratic Alliance that has since silenced the jubilee party in different by-elections in Kenya. ODM party on the other hand has also defeated jubilee party in the current by-election held in Kisii.
The battle for Kikuyus support is on unlike Jubilee Party which saw a massive failure in the president's backyard. Both ODM and UDA are careful. UDA being a new party is testing waters using proxy parties. Moses Kuria seems to be the man to watch as he destroys the reputation of jubilee party in the Mount Kenya region.
In regards to Bonchari and Juja by-elections, ODM and UDA will have a national image, unlike jubilee party which is reportedly using state machinery to seek relevance. Both UDA and ODM parties have been regarded to be having public image since they have won in different by-elections in different regions in Kenya.
