'I Promise To Legalize Weed,' Nelson Havi Says

The Law Society of Kenya president Nelson Havi is at it again after he promised to legalize weed. The topic whether weed should be legalized in Kenya has elicited reactions from leaders and Kenyans over the years.

Before the late Kibra MP Ken Okoth passed away, he had tabled a motion in parliament seeking to get weed also known as bhang to be legalized. Unfortunately he died before this could become a reality.

Other notable leaders have openly called for the legalisation of the substance like the Narok senator Ledama Ole Kina. Whether it's a pipe dream or a reality, the weed topic is always discussed in low tones.

Havi said that he would legalize the substance and later on change the national anthem to a more suitable tune for the benefits of the country. It's not clear whether Nelson Havi uses the illegal substance that has put many behind bars in Kenya.
