Top Lawyer Allied to Kenya Kwanza Concedes Busia County is Strongly Behind Raila, But States This

Deputy President William Ruto and Raila Odinga, Kenya's two leading presidential contenders, have stepped up their campaigns. Both are vying for the presidency in August's general elections, which are less than two months away. In light of the current political climate, they are attempting to get support from all corners of the country. Raila Odinga, the presidential candidate of Azimio la Umoja, has a stronghold in Busia county, according to Senior Counsel Ahmed Nasir.

Raila Odinga has been supported by Kenya Kwanza for a long time, according to the county's senior lawyer. To transfer support to Ruto's Kenya Kwanza, he said he believes the county can now be captured after the conquest of Kakamega, Bungoma, Vihiga, and Trans Nzoia.

Many Kenyans are focused on Mount Kenya, but Raila Odinga and William Ruto both have a strong interest in the west.
