Meru county governor Honerable Kiraitu Murungi Finally Revealed what they did to Orange democratic party leader Honerable Raila Odinga after fallout with then president Mwai Kibaki ahead of 2007 general election. According to the governor, Orange democratic party leader Honerable Raila Odinga was a stronger candidate in mountain region after campaigning for Kibaki in 2002 Alone. Odinga had moved from one place to another in Central region when Kibaki was involved in an accident hence he was popular.
To Control the narrative and his influence in the region, Governor Murungi, says that , they came up with a narrative Which was aimed at painting Odinga black and tainting his name completely as an enemy of the region. Something that the governor says worked in both 2007 and 2013 elections, since Raila failed to get more votes from the mountain.
The governor continued by saying that, now it is time to correct that come 2022. He said that,he will personally take his time during the rallies in mount Kenya region to sell Odinga and revise the narrative that has been going around claiming that ODM Party leader can't be sold in mountain region. He further said that, the president is nolonger going to vye hence a perfect time to do everything that will see Odinga get to statehouse come 2022.
