Havi Reacts to Today's Headlines of MPs Plot to Cut Down Rutos' Powers.

The rift between the deputy president William Samoe Ruto and president Uhuru Kenyatta continue to widen amidst succession politics. Since Uhuru entered handshake with ODM leader in 2018.The critics of DP accuses him of undermining the president.

On the other hand,the allies of deputy have put blames on the president side alleging that DPs power were given to Cabinet secretary of interior,Dr. Fred Matiangi.

In today's Standard headlines, it is alleged that the house committee wants the head of State to have powers to hire and fire future deputy president to avoid a repeat of the current standoff between president Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto.

There move is aimed at ensuring that the works together to achieve their agenda they normally popularise to the electorates at the times of the elections.

However,the president of the law society of Kenya, Nelson Havi has differed with the MPs move.

"The people of kenya through the constitution removed the power to appoint and dismiss the deputy president from the president and gave it to themselves," say Havi.
